Galfer’s unique approach to improving brake systems has made them leaders in the performance brake market for many years,. Galfer’s engineers have come up with new radical rotor materials such as their unique 420 high carbon steel, exclusive double disc grinding techniques or designs such as their proprietary wave® rotors.

New Tsunami® Wave® rotors are a progression of their already re-known wave rotor’s technology, this new design allows for much more trailing a leading edge performance by having the rotor blade completely slotted from the top to the bottom diagonally and in opposite directions. Extensive brake dyno testing and “real life” racing tests show that their unique 270mm oversize diameter and Galfer’s 1054 carbon semi-metallic brake pads (included on the kit) allow for rapid and progressive brake feel with great cooling characteristics. These rotors are ideal for racetracks that would boil brake fluid in a matter of laps, Tsunami® rotors are designed to deliver extreme brake performance under heavy heat conditions. Only available a few months ago for top factory race teams these are currently going to be distributed by Tucker Rocky in the ir 08 catalog.
Galfer’s states that by the time you will be entering your first corner, and get on the brakes HARD you will have never felt anything like this…. The kit also includes a relocating bracket per each specific application. Available for Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha and Honda models.
Stainless Steel Brake Lines Information
Galfer’s steel braided brake lines are made of PTFE 62 Dupont-Teflon , around the inner Teflon we have 16 strands of steel braided cable (most companies only use 12) that allows for almost 0 expansion effect when applying pressure to the brake lever.
• All Galfer lines are coated with a clearor colored protective coat, protecting the line from the weather and the bike from scratches.
• All Galfer kits come complete with banjo bolts and washers for easy installation. Banjo bolts should never be torqued over 12 to 15 ft\lbs.
• All Sport Bike kits are 2 line kits; with the lines traveling from the master cylinder to the caliper directly.
• All kits are made bike specific.
Brake Pads
G1375 Compound
Our 1375 compound is the result of many long days at the race track and on the brake dyno. Based on Advanced Ceramics, this compound is meant for the track. It offers very fast heat recovery for more consistant braking which in turn, gives the rider more "feel". This is the pad of choice for most racers at the top of club levels and AMA contenders. These pads are very easy on rotors since they do not have the same levels of metallics in them like many OEM and after market brands. The 1375 compound also features a ceramic coated back plate which helps to disapate heat away from the brake pad and reduces the amount of heat transfered into the caliper pistons. This gives you a cooler running system that will be able to withstand more heating cycles and deiver consistant braking. Available for front calipers Supersport and Superbike applications (600cc - 1000cc)
NEW WAVE ROTORS

Galfer’s wave rotors were first introduced to the Motorcycle Industry for Trial bikes and then Snowmobile machines, soon to follow were Sport Bikes and ATV’s as well as Off Road applications. All Galfer Wave rotors are laser cut and made of a unique high carbon 420 stainless steel material that has been pre-heat treated and parallel double disc grounded to assure perfect flatness and the most efficient contact surface between pad and rotor.
TECH DATA
• Front Sport bike units are full floating and have an aluminum center carrier.
• Some front Off Road applications are full floating.
• All Wave rotors will improve the lever feel and feed back allowing the rider to get a much stronger and progressive brake then other units would. (Added trailing edge on the brake pad surface)
• Wave rotors are also great for keeping mud off the surface friction plate, allowing for the brake pads durability to be extended in muddy conditions. (Self-cleaning action)
• Most Wave applications are lighter than the original OEM rotors.
